Ambleton Embroideries derives its name from Pauline Oldfield's family homestead. On her retirement from remedial teaching Pauline expanded her love of embroidery and joined the South African Embroiderer's Guild in Pietermaritzburg.

Pauline began to create and embroider her own designs in many different aspects of embroidery such as Freestyle, Drawn Fabric, Mountmellick, Elizabethan and Jacobean. Pauline has compiled a book of 18 Freestyle designs which is available for purchase and she also teaches regular classes.
